Yep, they remain like this forever, part friends and part enemies. It's actually a pretty story, were the two gay and desperately in love it would be even more awesome :3

E'vesdar is a bit gay though, he fell in love with Flight
but that won't ever turn into a relationship, and he doesn't want a relationship anyway

There is btw a potion (a small lake with magic water, that's the reasons rank 4 horses are immune. But that story still has to be written xD), and Avanti can chose to take away the powers of one of his shades of course
